Classification of cane mist eliminator and its selection criteria

The cane mist eliminator is arranged on the upper layer of the absorption tower in which the flue gas flows vertically, and the single-layer beam is used to support the two-stage blade fixing manner. However, in order to facilitate the maintenance, there are also users who require two layers of beams to support. The flat-cane mist eliminator can be arranged in the absorption tower where the flue gas flows vertically, or in the flue where the flue gas flows horizontally, and is generally supported or fixed by double-layer beams.


The advantage of the ridge type is that the flow rate of the flue gas through the blade normal is smaller than the average flow velocity of the horizontal section in the tower, so that even if the flue gas flow rate in the tower is high, the flue gas is increased due to the increase of the flow area when passing through the demister. The flow rate is reduced. In addition, the structure of the ridge type cane mist eliminator is more stable than the flat type defogger, and the temperature that can be tolerated is high. Therefore, when the desulfurization system does not have GGH, it is recommended to use a ridge type cane mist eliminator.


In addition, from an economic point of view, the cost of a flat-blade vane demister is slightly lower than that of the ridge type. Therefore, it is generally preferable to select a flat type, and only when the temperature of the smoke is relatively high, the roof type vane defogger is selected for the purpose of improving safety.
