Structure, raw materials and application advantages of Polypropylene PP Pall Rings

The Polypropylene PP Pall Rings is a new type of filler. The main difference between it and the Raschig ring packing is that it has a rectangular window hole on the side wall, and the window leaf of the window hole is bent into the ring core, and the gas is made due to the opening of the ring wall. The distribution property of the liquid is greatly improved compared with the Raschig ring, especially the inner surface area of the ring can be fully utilized.


Polypropylene PP Pall Rings is made of polypropylene pellets. Polypropylene is not only a non-toxic, odorless, milky white high crystalline polymer, it is particularly stable to water; it has high crystallinity and regular structure, so it has excellent mechanics. Performance, its yield, tensile strength, compressive strength and hardness, elasticity, etc. are higher than HDPE.


The Polypropylene PP Pall Rings is an open-cell ring type filler with the same height and high diameter. Each window has 5 tongue leaves, and each tongue is bent inwardly to the center of the ring. The positions of the upper and lower windows are oppositely shifted. The open area accounts for about 30% of the total area of the ring wall. It has the characteristics of large void ratio, low pressure drop and mass transfer unit, high flood point, sufficient vapor-liquid contact, small specific gravity and high mass transfer efficiency.


Generally, under the same pressure drop, the processing capacity of the Polypropylene PP Pall Rings is more than 50% higher than that of the Raschig ring; under the same treatment amount, the pressure drop of the Polypropylene PP Pall Rings is only half of that of the Raschig ring. The use temperature in various media is 60-100 degrees Celsius.
